We wanted a rounder sofa that would face a TV in a den/entertainment room but not consume a lot of space. After having no luck at numerous brick-and-mortars we turned online and found this sofa. Wed not bought furniture online before and this seemed a bit risky for us. The piece, however, looked perfect so we took a chance.
We also bought the ottoman that complements the sofa mainly because we thought it was cool that it opened up to hold stuff.
We received the sofa just before the 4th of July. The two sectional pieces and the ottoman looked like they were wrapped to travel to the moon and back. Barring a direct hit with a forklift there was no way that those piece were going to be damaged. Sure enough, when we opened them they were in perfect condition.
You have to screw the feet on but it's fast and painless.
Be aware that the back cushions zipper on and off. The bottom cushions are attached by velcro on the underside. Any surface that is not visible is not covered in the leather but a different fabric. This, however, is completely unnoticeable and the fabric seems quite sturdy. The visible exterior is lucious. The ottoman, which I thought was just a pop-top design was held together with substantial hinges. All-in-all we were so impressed (the packing really put it over the top) that I told my wife I'd write my first customer review on Amazon.
PS: We also bought a second ottoman. You really need two to complete the set. | |
